The decision to record wind resource measurements at a potential wind farm site represents a significant milestone in any project. This decision is made years before a wind farm becomes operational and begins to provide financial returns for a developer or investor.
The choices made at this early stage in the development process have big implications for the confidence in the 'bankable' energy yield assessment and require an understanding of the technical and financial aspects of wind energy production.
