Wind Prospect Africa: Building relationships and wind farms in Zambia

Members of the Wind Prospect Africa team are proud to report that the successful installation of the 60m met mast has taken place on site at Kafue Gorge, Zambia.

Wind Prospect are excited to be involved with this project in their capacity as Owner’s Engineer as well as Project Manager as they assist the training centre with the development and training of the intricacies of wind energy which includes a wind measurement campaign and energy yield analysis.

Wind Prospect places great value on the relationship which they have with the Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre and other project stakeholders which includes the likes of the Department of Energy of the Zambian Government, the University of Zambia and ZESCO, the Zambian electricity utility. “It is encouraging to see the projects’ benefits of knowledge transfer, skills development and capacity building” says Duncan Ayling Wind Prospect Africa General Manager. Ayling adds “It is Wind Prospect’s intention to grow our portfolio in Zambia building upon these relationships created through efficient and professional project delivery”.
