Watch the Boco Rock wind farm blades unloading at Port of Eden

Stage One of the Boco Rock Wind Farm will comprise 67 GE wind turbines (GE 1.6MW and 1.7MW) and will have an installed capacity of 113MW. The components for the 67 wind turbines comprising 201 tower sections, 201 blades, 67 nacelles and 67 hubs have been arriving from the Port of Eden, the local port being used for ocean shipments. Components are unloaded by ship-borne cranes onto trucks on a 24 hour schedule.

Blades have been arriving on site since early May and the first turbine was erected on site in early June (see picture to the right).
