Walkway wind farm is a Wind Prospect development of seven 2MW wind turbines within the Borough of Sedgefield in County Durham. A formal Planning Application was submitted and consented in 2005 by Sedgefield Borough Council for development.

The site is located near the villages of Sedgefield, Fishburn and Trimdon.

Discussions with local stakeholders, including Sedgefield Borough Council, and community exhibitions outlining the proposal were an important part of the development process.

To enable the project to be a locally controlled community resource, a Local Trust Fund will be established via the County Durham Foundation, to be financed from a proportion of the revenue generated by the proposed wind farm.

Following planning approval in 2005, and the subsequent discharge of planning conditions, construction of the Walkway wind farm commenced in 2007. It is expected that Walkway wind farm will begin generating power in early 2008.
