Provisional Development Planning Consent was granted by the Goyder Regional Council in November 2004 for The Bluff Range Wind Farm.  This site would consist of up to 25 wind turbines positioned along the uniquely defined ridge - a textbook location for generating wind energy.

The site capacity could be up to 50MW, which would further contribute to the dominance of the Mid North (Hallett) region of South Australia as a leader of renewable electricity generation throughout Australia.
